Step-by-Step Guide to Installing Your New Fridge with Mains Water Connection

These are the steps in our typical fridge installation process:
Inspect the Location
We check where the unit is to be placed and identify the closest water point. We also make sure there’s proper clearance for the refrigerator doors and easy access to plug in the electrical cord.
Test the Water Pressure
We measure the mains pressure to ensure it’s within safe limits for your appliance. If it’s too high, we’ll install a pressure-limiting valve to avoid damage to the fridge or fittings.
Install or Extend the Water Line
If no water line exists, we install new piping for the fridge supply. This may involve working under the sink, through cabinetry, or across the back of the room. For island fridges, we conceal the lines neatly under the floor or kickboards.
Fit a Dedicated Isolation Valve
