Our licensed technicians conduct thorough inspections with a 4-step process to ensure your plumbing is in top shape:
Step 1: Home Safety Check
- Your service technician will walk through your home and check that all gas and water valves function properly in case of an emergency.
- You’ll also be shown the location of emergency shut-off valves for quick response in urgent situations.
Step 2: Water Heater Efficiency Test
- We check the temperature relief valve and electric thermostat settings to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Your water heater’s performance will be reviewed according to manufacturer specifications
Step 3: Plumbing & Pressure Assessment
- Taps, toilets, and cisterns are examined for leaks and proper function.
- Water mains are checked for excessive pressure to prevent potential damage to your system.
Step 4: Sewer Line Camera Inspection (If Required)
- A technician may conduct a camera inspection of your main sewer line to detect blockages or damage.

Are your plumbers licensed?
Yes. Every plumber who comes to your place holds the correct plumbing licence and has the training to meet Australian standards. We never send an apprentice out alone or cut corners on safety or compliance.
What is The Clean Plumber VIP Program?
It is a premium membership for regular customers. You get two free plumbing check-ups each year, a lifetime labour warranty on our work, discounts on parts and repairs, and priority booking when you need us quickly.
What does the annual plumbing inspection include?
On each visit, we look at your safety valves, test how well your hot water system is running, check water pressure and flow at taps and toilets, and if we see any signs of a blockage or slow drainage we use a sewer camera to see what is going on.
How does being a VIP member save me money?
You catch problems before they turn into expensive damage. The free inspections pick up early signs of wear and leaks, and if something needs fixing, you pay member rates on parts and labour, with no hidden extras.
How often will you visit my property?
VIP members receive two full inspections a year, usually one in the first half of the year and one in the second, unless you call us out sooner.
Do VIP members get priority bookings?
Yes. VIP jobs are prioritised over general bookings, so in an emergency, your visit is scheduled sooner.
Can the VIP Program help extend the life of my hot water system?
It can. We regularly check valves, thermostats and pressure settings so the unit runs properly and is less likely to fail without warning.
Is the sewer camera inspection guaranteed every year?
We only use the camera when there are signs of a blockage, roots or damage. If everything is flowing well, we do not run it just for the sake of it.

Very disappointed with the service related to Job Number 4154. Communication was poor from the start, and the issue was not handled professionally. Despite following up multiple times, there was little accountability, and the experience left me feeling frustrated and let down. For the price they charge, I expected reliability and proper customer support, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I would not recommend The Clean Plumber based on this experience.
Nick from The Clean Plumber came on Thursday afternoon to diagram and quote to fix a leaking upstairs hand basin which leaked onto the downstairs ceiling. Another plumber (not sure of his name as my wife was dealt with him) whom I met when I got home from work and he was finishing up the work. Both were very nice, helpful and very professional and they live up to company’s name. Highly recommended.

I used the Clean Plumber and they were honest in their assessment. A previous plumber installed our freestanding bathtub incorrectly and used the incorrect drain connection (for a sink instead of a tub) leading to unbearably slow drainage. I hired two other plumbers who couldn’t diagnose the problem correctly but the Clean Plumber came and identified the issue and re-installed the tub with correct parts. All along the process they were upfront as to how much it would cost to do the work based on issues found. They were pleasant to deal with and thoroughly explained how they were going to fix it. I would definitely use them again.
