We used The Clean Plumber for a full bathroom renovation on our 1970s house in Dharruk. It started because we literally had a mushroom growing out of the bedroom wall next to the shower. The old bathroom had been leaking for years without us realising, and by the time we opened it up there was mould through the wall cavity and rotted framing in two walls. Not a small job.
It was my first big renovation and Kevin made the process easy to follow. Proper Fair Trading contract, home warranty insurance sorted before we paid a cent, and compliance certificates for the plumbing and waterproofing provided at the end. Once the walls came off they rebuilt all the rotted framing properly instead of covering it up, replaced the old terracotta drainage under the slab with new PVC, and did the waterproofing really thoroughly, membrane under and over the screed. Given the whole reason we were renovating was water damage, watching them take that part seriously meant a lot. Craig picked up a layout issue early and adjusted the shower so everything fit, and Wayne's finishing work was really careful. Any little things I flagged at the end got fixed without fuss.
A few weeks after handover our toilet started gurgling. They came back twice, put a camera through and found tree roots in the old sewer line further down, nothing to do with their reno work, and cleared it with the jetter free of charge. Pricing was fair the whole way, variations were reasonable and they never tried it on. We went from a mushroom in the wall to a bathroom that's honestly the nicest room in the house.
